Villa Tartaruga Punta Cana Dominican Rep.

So we traveled from Miami to Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) on a late flight. I told the client that we needed a few minute's tour of the villa so we could get an idea of the spaces, materials, and furniture, and yes we did it, but it took us 90 minutes to go around and to listen to his very interesting story!

Villa Tartaruga is an amazing architectural treat designed by Venezuelan Francisco Feaugas @ffeaugasarchitect, and interior designed by Henny Diaz.

Tartaruga, a turtle in Italian, is the villa’s symbol that is embedded in the pool’s shape and in other spaces.

The architect’s vision is unique, It has a magnificent combination of materials along with monumental spaces that open up to the surrounding landscape and the paradisiac Caribbean Sea. One of my best experiences in architectural photography so far, and one that will remain in my mind’s eye for a long time!
