Aqua, an inspiration for constant changes.
The Earth is a watery place. About 71 percent of the Earth's surface is water-covered, and the oceans hold about 96.5 percent of all Earth's water. Water also exists in the air as water vapor, in rivers and lakes, in icecaps and glaciers, in the ground as soil moisture.
Water is never sitting still. Thanks to the water cycle, our planet's water supply is constantly moving from one place to another and from one form to another. Things would get pretty stale without the water cycle!
I’ve been a photographer for many years, my landscape imagery has always included water. But it wasn’t until I moved to Florida that I really started doing serious aerial photography. Using a drone bought me closer to the kind of clients that needed that service.
Since then, I’ve been on a constant lookout for ocean and water views. What I see on the water’s surface; the light and the reflection of the sky, the time of the year, all these variables make for endless changes which in a sense is like our own lives.
Technique: Using a large format sensor camera to capture the best details possible for large-scale printing. My post-processing involves long hours at the computer and the use of custom creative profiles.
